My Background:

• BA (Hons) degree in History.
• Over 20 years of experience in researching family history and house history.
• As part of my own research, I have discovered relatives in Canada and Germany, contacted them and organised (with their help) family reunions – in 2011 I travelled to Canada and met 50 relatives, and in 2012 I travelled to Germany and met a further 30 relatives.
• Individually, I have traced my patrilineal line back to the 1700s, and by collaborating with other researchers in my family network, I have traced other parts of my own family back to the 1500s.
• Friendly and approachable local researcher – I do this myself, I am not a big business!
• Most research is undertaken online, many countries have put their records online which has made researching abroad more accessible. Most of my work is UK based but who knows where your family history journey may take you?
• I am based in Yate, North of Bristol – within easy research of Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Wales. Research in the Midlands and London can also be arranged.

• My business policy is fully transparent: all fees and expenses will be agreed with you up front, there will be no surprise costs.
• If travel to local history offices is required I will include this in my quote.
